  1. Cut tomatoes in half and use the tip of a knife to cut out the core.

  2. Dice the tomatoes.

  3. Dice the red onion.

  4. Dice the serrano chili, keeping fingers curled to avoid cutting.

  5. Chop cilantro stems and leaves finely.

  6. Combine tomatoes, onions, chilies, and cilantro in a bowl.

  7. Season with salt and lime juice.

  8. Mix everything together and taste for seasoning.
